About Us

Writing has always been a passion of mine, but when I worked at Penguin it was the editing process and feedback to writers that caught my imagination. This inspired me to set up Cornerstones: if I can tell a writer in five minutes what might take them a year to find out, then I consider that a good thing.

I started off in my bedroom with five freelance editors; we now have an office with over 60 editors, managing editor Kathryn Robinson,assistant editor Rosa Weber, and the office dog, Coda.

I've also co-written a book, How to Write a Blockbuster with Lee Weatherly, Hodder. This is all about how to self-edit and get published.
