'Cornerstones took my writing by the scruff
of its neck and pointed the way forward.
Invaluable, no-nonsense, warm-spirited advice.
I now have an agent and a publishing deal.'
Harriet Goodwin
Harriet is a professional classical singer and after having her fourth child had a dream about a boy who fell through the surface of the earth into a ghostly Underworld - thus The Boy Who Fell Down Exit 43 was born.
We did a report on this and it went on to be included in the SCBWI anthology. I submitted it to some agents and after some fierce interest Harriet went with Sarah Davies of Greenhouse Literary Agency. Stripes published it and it was shortlisted for the Blue Peter Book Awards (results due this Spring); was a 3 for 2 in Waterstone's and Harriet's just signed a deal for her third book, The Hex Factor.
