Liz Kessler

Liz ran Kids'Corner with me for four years and I have fond memories of holding our business meetings on her canal boat. Liz wrote The Tail of Emily Windsnap, which I spoke about to Catherine Clarke of Felicity Bryan, who then wanted to take a look at the book.

Orion went on to publish it and Liz has since completed the Emily Windsnap series and the Philippa Fisher series and she's currently writing a standalone. So far, she has sold over two million copies worldwide. Liz gave up her canal boat to tour around Europe with her dog and her best friend, writing stories along the way. She now lives by the sea in Cornwall.

'Our role provides an extra rung on a ladder that can sometimes seem impossibly high. I am totally passionate about what we do here. Everyone wins. Authors not only get a useful opinion – from people within the publishing world - that will undoubtedly help them improve their writing, but if the work is good we can help them to get it published.

It’s the way forward.'
