Eleanor A
Eleanor has worked in book publishing for over 25 years, including (simultaneously) a stint in production journalism for about 10. She is a developmental editor, copyeditor, typesetter, writer, a CIEP Advanced Professional Member and a CIEP course tutor. As an in-house editor and as a freelancer she has worked with diverse clients on hundreds of titles, all with unique requirements. Her priority is the same as yours: to bring out the best in your book, support your craft and preserve your voice. She has enjoyed supporting established, traditionally published writers and self-publishing novices alike.
Though her current focus is commercial fiction, her past editing work has included all manner of genres, including economics, data science, education, food and drink, self-help, humour, Scottish-interest and – a sub-genre that is admittedly rare – the comedy cookbook. Today her specialties include crime and thrillers, horror and speculative fiction. Eleanor is a Cornerstones Industry copy-editor and proofreader.
Interests: Commercial fiction, commercial non-fiction, memoir, cosy crime, police procedural, psychological thriller, romance.
